Lionel Messi has reportedly told new boss Ronald Koeman that he does not see his future at Barcelona. Catalan radio RAC1 claims Messi dropped the bombshell during crunch talks with Koeman just one day after the Dutchman’s arrival. Messi apparently ended his summer holiday early for the heart-to-heart on Thursday. And the legendary forward added that he sees himself more “out of the club than in it.” Messi has long thought to be unhappy at Barcelona following turmoil on and off the pitch. Their meek surrender of LaLiga to Real Madrid coupled with an embarrassing Champions League exit against Bayern Munich saw both boss Quique Setien and director of football Eric Abidal axed.Advertisement Loading… Messi has just one year left on his Catalan contract. And even though Barca president Josep Bartomeu said on Tuesday that he will be staying put, Messi is thought to be giving serious consideration to leaving. Manchester City are reportedly interested as Pep Guardiola ponders a stunning Premier League reunion. read also:Bayern star Davis: I wanted Messi’s shirt but he was a little upset But Europa League finalists Inter Milan are the favourites to sign Messi should he leave. Parma are currently in 12th position after losing 0-1 to Inter Milan.Parma had held leaders Juventus 3-3.Napoli fell further behind Juventus after 0-0 draw against Fiorentina. highlights Milan: Napoli could finish the weekend trailing Serie A leaders Juventus by 11 points after Carlo Ancelotti’s wasteful side stuttered to a 0-0 draw at Fiorentina, as Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal to get Inter Milan back winning against promoted Parma. Both sides start their Europa League campaigns this week after crashing out of the Champions League with Napoli travelling to FC Zurich and Inter Milan away to Rapid Vienna in their round of the 32, first leg ties. Fiorentina goalkeeper Alban Lafont produced a string of saves to deny Piotr Zielinski and Dries Mertens as Napoli failed to score away from home for the third game running. “We dropped two points that we would’ve deserved for attacking from start to finish,” said Ancelotti. “In some ways, it was an impeccable performance, but we weren’t clinical enough in front of goal and were forced to make do with a point.” Ancelotti’s side have now been held twice in the past three games while hosts Fiorentina drew for the 11th time in 23 matches this season to sit ninth, but just six points off the Champions League berths. The Tuscany side’s best chance came just after half-time when French midfielder Jordan Veretout was denied by an excellent stop from Alex Meret. Inter Milan, in third, got back winning after Martinez came off the bench late, scoring after 79 minutes at Parma, after an earlier Danilo D’Ambrosio headed goal was ruled out after a VAR video review for a handling offence. RELATED Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan crossed nicely for the Argentine blast in Luciano Spalletti’s side their first league goal and win of 2019. Inter are now nine points behind Napoli, with Roma in fourth, a further five points behind, and Lazio fifth after their wins over Chievo and Empoli earlier this week. “I’m well suited to overcoming difficulties,” said under-pressure Inter Milan coach Spalletti. “Just as the defeat against Bologna (last week) caused despair, this victory will give us enthusiasm and strength. We must now keep a low profile to rediscover stability. We showed positive things tonight, but we need to produce further performances like this to gain consistency.” Parma are in 12th position with just one goal from their last five games, despite their heroics last week with a late Gervinho double holding champions Juventus 3-3. Unbeaten Juventus could stretch their advantage to double digits on Sunday when they travel to mid-table Sassuolo, firming on track for an eighth consecutive league title. National fast food chain Chick-fil-A is setting things straight, after company officials sent a promotional email last week welcoming customers to their stores on National Sandwich Day.Sounds fine, right? Well, not in this case. The problem is that the so-called “national holiday” falls on November 3, which of course is on a Sunday this year. The chain is closed on Sundays. That realization led the company to send a follow-up email with the subject line, “Well … this is awkward.”The follow-up message states, “We recently sent an email that included a message about National Sandwich Day, which naturally we were very excited about. We didn’t realize it falls on Sunday when we are closed. We apologize for the confusion and hope to see you soon (Monday-Saturday).”On a related note, competitor Popeyes used the occasion to announce that its popular chicken sandwich, which sold out weeks earlier than expected last summer, would make its return on Sunday.Popeyes officials took a jab at Chick-fil-A in a recent social media video, which says that Popeyes is “always open seven days a week.”

A British woman has made a full recovery, after her heart stopped beating for six hours due to severe hypothermia.Officials report that 34-year-old Audrey Schoeman got caught in a snowstorm while hiking in the Pyrenees mountain range in Spain last month. Her husband, Rohan, called for help. He says, “I thought she was dead. I was trying to feel for a pulse… I couldn’t feel a breath, I couldn’t feel a heartbeat.”Schoeman was taken to a hospital, where Dr. Jordi Riera treated her. He says Schoeman’s situation is very rare, since the human brain typically suffers irreparable damage if the heart stops beating for five minutes. The doctor adds, “What happened to her is a consequence of the drop in body temperature.” Apparently, Schoeman survived because the extreme drop in body temperature that stopped her heart also slowed down her brain metabolism. That allowed her heart to cope more effectively with the lack of oxygen.Schoeman’s body temperature had dropped to 64.4 Fahrenheit, as opposed to the normal 97.7-99.5 Fahrenheit range. Riera and his medical team used an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine in order to keep her alive.ECMO replaces the heart and lung functions. That allowed the doctors to oxygenate Schoeman’s blood and pump it around the body.Riera says Schoeman’s body slowly warmed up until her heart started beating again after six hours.“She woke up and asked: ‘What am I doing here?’” Riera says. The woman suffered a slight loss of sensitivity in her hands, but should make a full recovery.Riera adds, “As a scientist I don’t like the word but it’s like a miracle.”According to Schoeman, “It’s like a miracle except I think it’s all because of the doctors. Probably this winter I won’t go to the mountains, but I hope that in spring we will be able to start hiking and trekking again. I don’t want this to take away that hobby from me.”
Researchers may have determined what triggers autism in children and it’s not vaccinations.Scientists have identified a genetic mutation that, they say, causes autism and intellectual disability.According to the study, a gene called “USP9X,” controls a network of proteins. These proteins modify cell structures that regulate how nerves communicate with each other and interpret information. Researchers say that the mutation of this process affects early postnatal brain development. They say that it is linked to Autism Spectrum Disorder, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.Scientists say that with this new knowledge there is greater possibility of the development of treatment. The three year study was a collaborative effort between University of Chicago, Northwestern University, University of Queensland and University of Adelaide.
