Few musicians are as symbolic of an entire genre of music as Miles Davis is to jazz. The two are literally inseparable, perhaps driving Don Cheadle to write, direct, and star in the Miles Ahead biopic (watch the trailer here). Another tribute to Davis is on the way, as jazz pianist Robert Glasper has organized an album dedicated to the iconic trumpeter.Titled Everything’s Beautiful, Glasper has recruited a who’s who of musicians for the Miles Davis tribute project. Among those involved: Stevie Wonder, John Scofield, Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Bilal, Illa J and so many more. It took three years for approval to be obtained for the restaurant along with plans for two residences joined by an entertaining area with resort-style pool.
